This year’s annual Russian Summer Ball raised funds to commission two large icons of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia and the Imperial Martyrs for the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad’s Cathedral of the Nativity Of the Most Holy Mother of God and the Holy Royal Martyrs.

The Russian Summer Ball has been a long time benefactor of the Russian Church Abroad (ROCOR), with donations from the time the cathedral moved from Emperor’s Gate to its iconic Pskov-styled building in 1990. This cherished temple stands as a witness to God, with its distinctive blue onion dome in Harvard Road, Chiswick, now a London landmark viewed from the busy M4 to Heathrow route into the capital.
